IDLEWILD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
Time & Location
About The Event
What happens when you take Film, Art and Music and place it in a natural landscape known for its beautiful beaches, abundant wildlife and up-north hospitality? You get history in the making!
The Idlewild International Film Festival is bringing more art and culture to Idlewild, a place that was built by segregation and nearly destroyed by integration. With the help of a resilient community of builders, dreamers and doers, we are cultivating a new narrative.
The festival will be held on the historical shores of Lake Paradise, where Aretha Franklin, Cab Calloway, Della Reese (to name a few) once performed. This inaugural event will feature women filmmakers from all walks of life telling diverse and unique stories.
With two nights of screenings under the stars and two days of festivities, we are bound to see some real magic happen in the rustic areas of Idlewild, Michigan!
On our last half day, we will have our award ceremony and VIP Platinum brunch. This is limited to guests registered at the Morton's Motel, VIP Platinum ticket holders and filmmakers with screenings. You must RSVP for this portion of the festivities.
Please remember that this is a rain or shine event! If we get rain Friday afternoon the event will be moved indoors to the township building located at
